First of all THE LAKE -
The lake is basically my families 2nd home & to most Michigan lovers, it is too. Its like the sea but better. No sharks dude !!! On chilly days you bring quilts to snuggle up in & books to read in the sand. & don't forget about the gorgeous pier. Its pretty neat during the summer but during the winter, oh man is it GR8. (google pictures and you'll know what I'm talking about:)
Second of all the cute lil hidden treasures -
From spontaneous walls with eggplant, tomatoes & blueberries to random painted bath tubs on the side walk. There's so many nooks and crannies that have yet to be discovered.
also how adorable is my nana !!!

Third, how "homey" it feels -
I don't know what it is about Michigan but if a state was able to give ya a big bear hug, it'd be this one. The people are friendly & welcoming, although the seagulls... you wanna keep your distance from them.
Forth, the breath taking sunset -
The week we were there about 2 years ago, we looked up the exact time the sun was supposed to set. So when the time came close we marched our selves down to the pier & let me tell ya we weren't disappointed.

To really know what I'm talking about you'd have to jump on a plane right now.. which I fully support ;) but no I'm not kidding. It makes you realize what you've been missin'. The lake, hidden treasures, homey feel, & breath taking sunset all add to the charm of the mitten :))

See ya later dudesss.
