I always find myself jealous of the people who are able to go to Nicaragua (even though I'll be there in October aaahhhh!!), Ethiopia, France & other places that I might not ever get the chance to step foot in. I envy how much fun they seem to have and to me it really seems like God called them to do something important, but although going to different countries is amazing, being a light to others right where you live is just as important. Don't let not being able to go everywhere & see everything stop you from doing something you love for someone that you love.
them about Jesus, but what about the kids in your hometown?
One of the big things on my list is to volunteer at a homeless shelter for teens and kids. Because who knows, half of them might not have even heard about God. Some may not know what kindness is cause they've never been shown any. Now of course if you gave me the option of going to a new country I'd be packing my bags, but we cant forget that are lost people everywhere. Not just in foreign places.
"Who saved us and called up to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began." - 2 Timothy 1:9. Remember that God called all of us. Not just the missionaries. Not just the pastors. All of us to reach out to others and be their light. I like the thought of being someone's "light" and being the one to show them God & his word. It could be something as simple as reaching out to that one kid you've seen recently roaming around school. Maybe THAT person needs a light. Maybe YOU could be that light.
So yes, this blog is basically me ranting about how important it is to reach out to other people & not be discouraged because you think you aren't qualified to do it, cause let me just tell ya one thing - there is NO such thing as being "unqualified" to share Jesus.
Did you ever hear God say.. "you can only share my word in other countries" or "no no no. that person doesn't need me". Uhhhh I bet you all of my valentine chocolate that he didn't (& I wouldn't bet that if I wasn't absolutely positive).
I've said it 18639832 times and I'll say it again - God wants you to be a light. He will stretch you & grow you.
So now all ya gotta do is listen aka the tough part.
See ya later dudesss.
