{ how to turn your bad day into a good one }

  1. Listen to some upbeat music. Slow, sad songs, about breakups & other things can be great. But I always find myself not in the best mood after listening to them. So put on some upbeat jams that you can dance to and have fun with.
  2. Communicate with friends. Sometimes having a funny conversation with friends over text & such can make your day x10 better. Make sure you keep your friends close on your rough days, they are always there to help ya out.
  3. Doodle. When I'm not having the best day, all I need is paper and a pen. Doodling is a good way to let go of stress, frustration, and other things that might be making your day a drag. Even if you think "well I suck at drawing", don't think you cant do it. I'm not asking you to be Picasso. Sometimes just sketching out some flowers can help lots.
  4. Go for a bike ride. I'll admit it. I'm not sure the last time I touched my bike, and I guarantee you its too small for me, but bike rides are perfect. Take a little stroll around your neighborhood and just forget about whatever made your day terrible.
  5. Make a picture collage. I love pictures. Pictures with friends. Candids. Polaroids. All of em'. Go print out some of your favorites and stick them in a notebook with a little message so you can remember when you took it. Or hang them on your wall etc etc... You can do anything with them really.
  6. Get dressed & have a photoshoot. Gather up your friends and make some plans to just go take pictures. I'm the most guilty of this probably. There's most likely not a day that goes by where I don't think of picture opportunities. Its lots of fun, try it sometime.
  7. Look up inspirational quotes. I actually have a quote in my room that says, "Do one thing everyday that makes you happy" and its a good thing to look at when I'm down. Looking through encouraging quotes on pinterest, Instagram & any other website can getcha in a good mood.
  8. Think about fun memories you've made. Remember when you did something funny with a friend. Or maybe a cool road trip you went on. That's also when having pictures hanging in your room comes in handy. Most of the time when you have pictures up in your room, they are good memories you want to cherish and remember, So take a minute to look through those and remember the laughs you shared. Speaking of laughing...
  9. Laugh. I'm a firm believer in "laughter is the best medicine". Plus its good for ya. If you go a whole day without laughing, its been one sad day. Watch a funny show. Talk to that one friend that can make you laugh, no matter what mood you're in. Anything that will give you a little boost. {laughter is the fireworks of the soul}.
  10. Read BLOGS. I support this one whole heartedly. Now if you're not a fan of blogs (somethings wrong with ya) then this is probably the last thing that will lift your spirits. BUT if you are, find one. A post that encourages you & hopefully helps you through the day :))
